Connolly 2.0 was specifically created to accommodate today’s high-use applications in workplace, education, and health environments. Designed with a higher sit than original Connolly and an oversized arm cap with a finger pull overhang, Connolly 2.0 makes it easier for guests to sit in and exit the chair. Additional elements like a push-through clean out channel for detailed sanitation and a metal wall saver leg option to eliminate wall marring, make Connolly 2.0 an ideal solution for spaces focused on user comfort, cleanability, facility maintenance, and aesthetics.

“After launching Connolly, we heard the demand for a version that accommodates high cleanability needs. I designed Connolly 2.0 to include elements focused on meeting those specific needs without changing the feel of the original Connolly. Additional features like arm caps and wall saver legs, as well as a push-through clean out channel were included. The upholstered accent panels and moisture barrier are both optional, adding to the ease of cleanability. My goal with Connolly 2.0 was to continue the Connolly story and expand upon a great start.”
Derek Schweikarth graduated from Purdue University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Design. He has been with Kimball International since graduation.
