Fringe 2.0 is an extensive offering of lounge seating and tables that can be combined to create everything from large configurations for lobby spaces or community areas to individual nooks for privacy and focus. Fringe 2.0 complements the Fringe series, but features a thinner arm and back style. This lighter scale profile and slender silhouette, combined with unique club chairs, guest seating, and lounge components make Fringe 2.0 a beautiful solution for workplace, education, and health spaces.

“Based on the architecture of original Fringe, I designed Fringe 2.0 to have a softer aesthetic and a more comfortable sit. The series also includes new club and side chair options. The thinner arm and back styles are relevant to today’s trends and the user experience has been enhanced by offering softer, more residential seat cushions. Fringe 2.0 is raised further from the floor and features a clean out to address the need for cleanability in high-use areas.”
Derek Schweikarth graduated from Purdue University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Design. He has been with Kimball International since graduation. Focusing on relevant design influences, Derek creates thought provoking product solutions that are design driven with a strategic focus on manufacturability, providing our customers with the quality of craftsmanship and functionality they expect.
