“Inspired by the revitalization and renovation of late 19th century industrial warehouse architecture, Tarver merges the natural characteristics of metal and wood to create rustic showpieces. The simplistic and repetitive wood and steel support beams and trusses that were used to create those warehouses influenced my vision of Tarver. Building from those monumental structures, Tarver’s details were developed and modernized for commercial interiors.”


With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Design from Purdue University, Don Woods concentrates on creating intuitively refined designs. Don appreciates the utilization of mixed materials, joinery, and aesthetics within his designs. Don’s partnership with Kimball International spans over 25 years and he’s been an integral contributor to our product portfolio including designs of casegood solutions, tables, and seating.
