“Born from the need for familiar spaces that blend between residential and commercial environments, Eklund provides a comfortable solution with options for privacy and softened acoustics. I was inspired by organic shapes and designed Eklund’s sweeping, flowing curves to mimic the privacy and protection one might find in nature.”
Derek Schweikarth graduated from Purdue University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Design. He has been with Kimball International since graduation. Focusing on relevant design influences, Derek creates thought provoking product solutions that are design driven with a strategic focus on manufacturability, providing our customers with the quality of craftmanship and functionality they expect.
